Established in late 1999. Among its founders are Lech Walesa, Trade Union Solidarity and the City of Gdansk. The goals of the Foundation include educational, scientific and cultural activities, first of all dissemination of knowledge about the “Solidarity” movement and its impact on development of democracy worldwide.
Founded by Janina Ochojska. It is among the most renown Polish humanitarian organisations. PHO conducts its activities in Poland and abroad, providing aid irrespective of nationality, race, religion or conflict party.
This is one of the campaigns of the Polish Humanitarian Organization. Its goal is to draw attention to the problem of lack of access to education in regions affected by military conflicts and to gather resources to counteract this problem.
Gdansk is the largest economic, scientific and cultural centre in the Polish Coast. It owes its unique character not only to its location and tourist attractions, but also to its thousand years of history. It is Gdansk where “Solidarity” was born.

The Pomeranian Region has an area of over 18,000 sq. km and a population of 2,2 million. Its capital - Gdansk, is well known in Europe and worldwide as a cradle of the massive “Solidarity” movement, born in 1980 under the leadership of Lech Walesa.
A cultural institution of Warsaw. Its objectives are to facilitate contact of generations and nations with the history of Poland and Central-Eastern Europe in the 20th century. It organises exhibitions, meetings and educational activities.
